The Player Foundation raises over $20 million for charity in 2010

During the course of 2010, we are proud to have raised over $20 million dollars worldwide though our various events and activities. Below are some of the Player Foundation events from around the globe.

Events hosted to raise money for charity in 2010:

Raised $1.2 Million for the following Charities.

Sheik Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs

The Red Crescent UAE
The Future Centre for Special Needs
The Gary Player Foundation

Gary Player Invitational, Scotland, Europe
Raised $250,000 for The Player Foundation.

Gary Player Invitational, Shanghai, China
Raised over $1.8 Million for The Chinese Foundation for the Prevention of STD’ s and AIDS benefiting the Chinese AIDS Orphans.

Gary Player Invitational, The Cliffs in South Carolina, USA
Raised $500,000 for the following Charities.

Additional Charity Involvement in 2010

The Big Three ® for Mountain Mission Kids, Bristol, Virginia, raised $15 Million.

The Kinnear Classic, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, raised $1 Million.

One of my duties is to help grow the game, so it’s always a good day when I get to meet young golfers and try to cultivate a passion for the game. I had a great time with @FirstTeePhilly - a youth development organization introducing golf and its inherent values to young people.
