Longstanding supporter of the Gary Player Invitational (GPI) series, Brian McFadden, will be joined by the award winning South African house band, Mi Casa, for the Gary Player Invitational presented by Coca-Cola at Sun City next month.
Mi Casa’s Dr Duda, Mo-T, and J’Something will make their debut ‘Golf and Giving’ appearance while joining McFadden at Sun City in November along with some of the best names in golf, sport, and entertainment who also will be in attendance to show their support of Gary Player’s quest to raise $100 million for charity by 2025.
Mirroring the success South African legends such as Gary Player himself, Mi Casa rose to international stardom with thousands of people around the world now gathering in their homes, cars, offices, and festivals around their music.
McFadden will be in the country for his solo tour titled Brian McFadden – Soul Jam, which is greatly focused on the Irish star’s love for old-school soul music.
“This is a project I have wanted to do for years. I love old soul and I cannot wait to perform some of the great soul classics in South Africa. This is an extra special part of the tour for me as it includes my trip to the Gary Player Invitational. Gary is a great friend and inspiration to me and it thrills me that I’ll be back at Sun City to support him.” Commented Brian McFadden.
Guests at the Gary Player Invitational, golf’s most premier charity event, will be treated to performances by both the Mi Casa trio and McFadden.
“The Gary Player Invitational brings together people from all professions for something bigger than themselves and that’s what we love to do with music. We work to unite a diversity of people in the name of music, and now we have the opportunity to do that in the name of charity with Gary Player which is a great honor for us.” Added J’Something.
The funds raised through the Gary Player Invitational has contributed to The Player Foundation raising more than $64 million for worthy causes around the world. In South Africa, the funds raised are donated to the foundation’s selected beneficiaries, Wildlands, in support of women empowerment and the upliftment of disadvantaged communities, and Wing & Wishes in aid of underprivileged children in need of medical care.
