Saadiyat Beach
Abu Dhabi, UAE
March 2020

At the heart of each Gary Player Invitational is the act of giving back to those less fortunate and to raise funds in order to bring hope, help and healing to underprivileged children and communities worldwide. More than $64 million has been raised through the global series over 30 years, which has made such a huge difference to the lives of those less fortunate.

THE EVENT
The Gary Player Invitational in the United Arab Emirates was launched in Abu Dhabi and is the first leg of the 2019 GPI global series of the world-leading charity golf event. The past events have been hugely successful, not just in terms of a world-class experience and its high-profile Tour Professional participation, but also in raising funds for charity. An all-star cast of golf professionals and celebrities will  join Gary Player at Abu Dhabi’s ocean-front Saadiyat Beach Golf Club  to celebrate the Union of Golf and Giving.

60 years of incredible memories since my first green jacket. The splendor of Augusta never fades. Another fantastic tournament in the books with a new champion in Hideki Matsuyama joining the winner’s circle. Cheers to the many memories still to be made!

I am absolutely delighted to see Hideki win the Masters. From the moment he took the lead yesterday, he looked in complete control. He had a small hiccup on 15 and 16 but responded with two great drives on 17 and 18 to help close out his first Major Championship.
