Gary Player to Compete in Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge

Gary Player will compete in the Legends of Golf Tournament April 19-23, 2017. This year is the 40th anniversary ofBassProShops Legends Legends of Golf and the fourth year that Bass Pro Shops have sponsored and Big Cedar Lodge has hosted the
tournament. The event features a perfect match between some of the greatest golfers of all time including Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, and many more.

Headliners Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus will be paired together once again. Surely watching some of the greatest players of all time competing will be an event you won’t want to miss!

Player has two Legends of Golf titles, winning in 2009 and 2010. The Black Knight will be paired with Jack Nicklaus in the Legends Division on Friday and Saturday and will be playing in the Skins Game on Sunday alongside other celebrities. Player and Nicklaus placed second in 2015, and are keen for another victory.

“The Legends of Golf is one of my favorite events to play in each year,” said Gary Player. “I am thrilled to tee up with 2016 PGA Legends of Golfmy good friend Jack Nicklaus at Big Cedar Lodge’s Top of the Rock in what should be a fantastic tournament. We also are opening our newly designed 13-hole short course this coming week!”

Big Cedar Lodge is also the home of Gary Player’s soon-to-open short course. The course will be the latest gem in the Big Cedar lodge collection of world-class fold amenities set to open later this year. This short family style course features 13 par-three holes featuring superb views of the natural beauty of the Missouri’s Ozark Mountains.

“I’ve never seen a course this drastically stunning- playing here and observing the transitions between wonderful rock formations and breathtaking views will leave an indelible mark on every kind of golfer,” said Player.

Gary Player Design has created this course so that each golfer will travel through 300 million-year- old cave-like -www-pages-A-C-2-0-C-0-2-D-7-C-images-5a545629a6469aeformations during their journey throughout the tournament on the walking-only course. With joint visions from Mr.
Player himself and the help of Bass Pro Shops Founder and CEO, Johnny Morris, it doesn’t matter if you are an
