The EFK Group, organizers of The Exelon Invitational hosted by Jim Furyk are pleased to announce today that the 2006 skins tournament, featuring the top PGA TOUR stars, will move from Hartefeld National to The ACE Club, a Gary Player signature course. The ACE Club has reached an agreement with EFK Group to serve as the tournament’s new home through 2009. The 2006 Exelon Invitational will be held June 2-5th.
“The ACE Club is one of the best courses in the region- I am looking forward to promoting the game of golf in the city of Philadelphia by inviting the world’s best players to this top-notch golf facility” said Furyk, currently ranked 4th on the 2005 PGA TOUR money list.
Past tournament participants include John Daly, Chris DiMarco, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Mike Weir and other PGA Tour stars. Since its inception, over $500,000 has been raised for local charities.
Created to offer the ultimate corporate golf experience, The ACE Club is located in Lafayette Hill, a few miles from Philadelphia. This Gary Player signature design plays almost 7500 yards from the back tees while offering breath taking views, strategic design and a state-of-the-art clubhouse.
