On March 7th and 8th, top stars from the sports, business and entertainment industries will join together for the eighth annual Gary Player Invitational. As it is every year, the event will be hosted by Gary Player at one of the finest golfing venues in the country - the Floridian, Wayne Huizenga’s private golf course designed by Player.
Everything about the Gary Player Invitational is top notch, from the food to the golf course to the entertainment. Those who have watched a Gary Player golf clinic would agree; if there’s one thing that Gary Player knows how to do (besides hit a golf ball), it’s entertain a crowd!
The event will begin with a tropical themed Pairings Party Sunday evening at the PGA National Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Beach. Golfers will have the opportunity to spin the “Wheel of Fame” to determine their celebrity captain for the tournament, while enjoying cocktails, the sound of a steel-drum band and a grand buffet.
Before the pro-am tournament tees off on Monday morning, guests will be treated to breakfast on the terrace of the Floridian as well as an entertaining and friendly skills competition between Gary Player and Seve Ballesteros. Cocktails, an MBNA-sponsored dinner and live entertainment will follow the day’s golf tournament. The evening will wrap up with an awards presentation and live auction, sponsored for the first time by Coca-Cola. This year’s live auction is anticipated to be the best ever and includes the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Robben Island with Nelson Mandela as well as other exciting travel packages.
All funds raised at the event will be donated to underprivileged childrens education and other causes in the United States and around the world. For additional information, contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), The Player Foundation, USA.
