The Black Knight will tee it up for the 52nd time next week at Augusta National where he donned a “green jacket” in 1961, `74 and `78. This means Player will have spent one full year of his life competing in the Masters Tournament which is traditionally held during the first full week of April.
Three victories, 15 top ten finishes, a record 23 consecutive cuts and 52 years later, Gary Player will join seven fellow South Africans in the field, including last year’s Champion Trevor Immelman. Immelman is the 2nd South African to win a green jacket after Player, who became the first foreign Masters Champion in 1961.

Watching Mr. Player at the Masters is the best part of the tournament. Please play as long as you can. I know you could work your magic with those players who don’t realize what a great life they have.
God Bless You Gary!
