Player Celebrates 20 Years and Three Victories at the Senior Open this July

The 20th running of the British Senior Open will commence on July 26th at Muirfield, a sentimental venue for Gary Player where he won his first British Open title at the young age of 23 0 a record at that stage.
After quite a history at The Open Championship - three victories in three separate decades - Player joined the senior circuit in 1987. The inaugural British Senior Open was played at Turnberry that year, and having not missed one appearance, Gary Player celebrates his 20th anniversary at the Senior Open this July. It’s been another remarkable journey for him as an ‘over 50’ competitor… the Black Knight claimed two Senior Open titles at Turnberry in 1988 and 1990, and then at Royal Portrush in 1997.
