Accurately reflecting Gary Player’s worldwide reputation for design and style, the magnificent new office building of Black Knight International and Gary Player Design companies, was officially opened on Thursday, 3 May 2007 at Blair Atholl golf club situated north-east of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Enjoying the balmy late afternoon autumn sun around the sparkling black-bottomed pool of the offices, adjoining the eighteenth fairway of the new Blair Atholl course designed by Player, the 75 clients, business partners and special guests were treated to cocktails and snacks while they listened to the indigenous strains of a penny whistler.
Taking a welcome break from their busy schedules, Marc and Gary Player, accompanied by his charming wife Vivienne, happily mingled with their guests before Gary officially opened the building. After a short introduction by chief executive Marc, Gary Player earnestly thanked the assembled guests for attending the occasion and for their loyal support over the 25 years that the Group has been in business.
