While in New York earlier this week for business engagements, Gary Player pulled his hamstring during a work-out session in the gym on Tuesday, June 26th, forcing him to withdraw from both this week’s Commerce Bank Championship in New York and the upcoming US Senior Open at Whistling Straits.
Player intends to recoup and rehabilitate between now and his next tournament - the Senior British Open at Muirfield in Scotland, site of his 1959 Open Championship victory.
