On Feb. 5th Gary Player will introduce a revolutionary water-saving technology to more than 25,000 visitors at golf’s mega-show, the GIS in New Orleans. Advanced Sensor Technology’s (AST) patented, wireless, underground soil-monitoring system boasts an unrivaled software package that will put water conservation data and solutions at the industry’s fingertips.
Inspired by his brother and world-renowned conservationist Dr. Ian Player, Gary Player strives to make each golf course design project “a gift to nature” and has been a strong advocate of water-saving over the years. Player has also personally experimented with cutting-edge conservation techniques on his ranch in the semi-desert Karoo of South Africa where he recently built a virtually “waterless” golf course. It’s no wonder the Black Knight has given AST’s innovative technology his nod of approval.
When does your turf need water? How much does it need? When and what type of fertilizers are necessary? How can you eliminate disease before it happens? Gary Player will unveil one product with all the answers on Feb 5th.
