Gary Player Design and world renowned architect Massimiliano Fuksas are working together to create an experience second to none with the new golf club at Is Molas Golf Resort.  The 18-hole Gary Player signature course will complete the 45-hole golf resort, which is already one of Italy’s best tourist attractions and tournament venues (including the Italian Open in 2001).  The beauty of Is Molas Golf Resort is not only the impeccable Mediterranean setting, but that everything to the finest detail has been carefully thought out to offer an unmatched holiday and living experience.

Gary Player’s focus, as with any golf course he takes on, is to work with the natural landscape and to leave the environment as well-preserved as possible.  In the same respect, Fuksas’ impressive buildings, which capture the feel of ancient civilization, attach great importance on making the best use of natural light and greenery.  Player’s design team has been commissioned to create a golf experience that will challenge all skill levels and also fit with the serene area overlooking the sea.  Fuksas will be undertaking all vertical architecture, including a clubhouse and villas that will uniquely combine ancient structures with modern luxury.

Senior Designer Jeff Lawrence is expected to visit the site this month with design partner Dr Franco Piras of GolfVacanze. Together they will develop concepts to share with Gary Player before the detailed design process begins.
