Gary Player Hit the Links with a Host of Hollywood Stars to Benefit Cancer Research

On February 2, 2009 Gary Player hosted the 2nd Annual Callaway Golf Foundation Challenge at the historic Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California. The pro-celebrity charity golf tournament was established to benefit women’s cancer research initiatives of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) – a cause near and dear to Player’s heart after losing is mother to the disease.

Gary Player, Johnny Miller, Stuart Appleby and other Callaway staff pros were paired with celebrated actors, chief business leaders and entertainment industry executives in a “modified best ball” tournament format. Celebrities in attendance included Mark Wahlberg, Don Cheadle, Ray Romano, Joe Pesci, James Caan, Kevin Nealon, George Lopez and other movie & TV personalities.
