Manzano Golf Resort, the first golf resort in the Tuscan village of Cortona, Italy, will cover over 200 acres and include an 18-hole championship golf course by Gary Player Design as well as a luxury full-service boutique hotel.
The resort’s masterplan calls for a small central complex, comprising about 12 acres, which is surrounded by the golf course, vineyards and the rolling Tuscan landscape. Thirty-six residential units have been designed to meet different tastes in lifestyle, from townhouses in the central medieval-inspired square, to larger luxury villas situated on the borders of the complex. The overall design is a unique blend of contemporary concepts with traditional Tuscan elements, such as terracotta floors and chestnut doors.
The golf course is currently in the planning stage and detailed design work will commence this quarter.
