Gary Player Design Selected in Greece

Lavendar Hills will be the first integrated resort to come to market in the region of Thessaly and will provide accommodation and facilities of the highest international standards.

Golfing Development S.A., developers of a high-end residential resort situated next to the small Greek village of Nies (near Volos), recently announced plans for an 18-hole Gary Player Signature course to complement the master-planned coastal community, Lavender Hills. The three-phase development concept includes a broad range of other facilities such as a full-service clubhouse, equestrian center, winery and a spa. Perhaps the most unique component, which rings true to Greek agricultural history, is an existing olive press complex that will be renovated and operated to produce a Lavender Hills label. With direct beach access on Nies Bay, residents will also enjoy many sea sport facilities that will be constructed as part of the project.

Lavendar Hills will be the first integrated resort to come to market in the region of Thessaly and will provide accommodation and facilities of the highest international standards. The idea is to create an idealistic retreat - blending the finest elements of lifestyle and Greek agricultural traditions with the natural beauty of the site. With beaches surrounded by natural forests; flat plains ideal for golfing along the water; and smooth upward slopes offering panoramic sea views to each residence, the site truly encompasses the best of all worlds.
