CostaBaja Resort & Marina Seeing Great Success

In November 2010 Gary Player traveled to La Paz, Mexico to celebrate the grand opening of his first signature golf course in Mexico, CostaBaja Resort & Marina. Since then the course and development have received great reviews and sales of residential properties has been excellent. The first phase of beach condos, marina condos, and beach villas sold out quickly and the second phase, comprised of the VistaMar and Las Colinas residences, are strong.
“The contrast of the azure ocean, the natural scrub brush and the green of the golf course makes for a beautiful and dramatic setting. This was one of our most interesting projects and I am not at all surprised about the rapid success of their residential property sales. CostaBaja is one of those places that once you visit you want to come back again and again,” said Marc Player, CEO of Black Knight International.
La Paz recently announced $1 billion in planned developments over the next five years and launched an awareness campaign, “La Paz: City of Peace and Abundance on the Sea of Cortez,” from the Costa Baja Resort in La Paz and La Paz’s sister city of Redondo Beach, Calif., in the United States. The purpose of the campaign is to send the message that while other parts of Mexico are having their problems with violence, the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula isn’t one of them.
“Those who have had the good fortune of discovering La Paz on their own have found that it offers a rare combination of overwhelming beauty, sense of community and balanced infrastructure,” said Agustin Olachea, President of La Paz Tourism Board, and spokesperson for the La Paz Developers Tourism Council. “The awareness campaign ensures that La Paz – whose name is literally ‘Peace’ in Spanish – is recognized as one of the world’s most safe and secure cities.”
