2007 China Tour Raises the Curtain on a Gary Player Signature Course

Nanjing Zhongshan International Golf Club, a new Gary Player Signature course, made its debut on the China Tour staging the opening event of the season, the Sofitel Golf Championship. The tournament concluded on May 13th and was won by 25 year-old rookie professional Wu Kangchun. Since its inception three years ago, the China Tour is beginning to make headlines around the world and has played a vital role in attracting attention to golf within the country.
Nanjing Zhongshan International Golf Club, which opened last year, is situated at the foot of Purple Mountain in the historical city of Nanjing. The development includes 18 signature holes by Gary Player, a lighted nine-hole course, an extensive practice facility, Sofitel Inernational Golf Hotel, luxury clubhouse amenities and a limited number of landscape villas.
