Gary once again showed that he was not ready for a “down” week and started the Houston Open with an eight-under-par 64. He played flawless the whole week, finishing with only two bogeys in 72 holes-- 64, 67, 70, and 69 for 270, the lowest score on the tour at that point in the season. His third win in a row, which incidentally has not since been matched on the American PGA Tour.
